What was and still is "THE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST"?

It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
scrlclose.gif
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Will you be found having this same Jewish FAITH  that the Jewish Messiah, "Yahshua" who the KJV calls "Jesus" had and delivered to His Jewish Brethern in His Nation of Israel on your judgmemt DAY?

Jude 1:3 "Beloved, ---earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints."

John 4:22  Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for SALVATION IS OF THE JEWS.

(Rev 14:12 KJV)  "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they THAT KEEP the commandments of God,  AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.

Part one of three parts:

What was and still is the Faith of the Jewish Messiah, "Yahshua - Jesus" that His Saints are being saved through?

Eph 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith;"

"FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THE THING HOPED FOR".

If FAITH is the SUBSTANCE through which we are saved, than what is this Substance?  If you don't know what this SUBSTANCE is, how can you be assured of His Salvation?

"The Substance". = G5287 hupostasis;

What does "FAITH is the substance", in Heb. 11:1-3 mean? What words defines "the substance"?

(Heb 11:1-3 KJV) Now FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (FAITH is our believing every WORD that came out of the Mouth of God) {2} For by it the elders obtained a good report. {3} Through FAITH (the words of Christ) WE UNDERSTAND that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

"Evidence". G1650. elegchos, el'-eng-khos; from G1651; proof, conviction:--evidence, reproof.

Hupostasis; = The "KNOWLEDGE" of Jesus' - Yahweh's Kingdom who is the God of Israel, and the knowledge of the things that are hope for by His Saints, that He, as the God of Israel, has promised to all them that have loved Him and embraced the teachings of His Son, and obey Him as Lord and Master. If one does not believe every word that came out of the mouth of Christ, they do not have the same Faith  that the Jewish Messiah, "Yahshua", (the Hebrew name of the Son of God that all Israel know Him by) had.

Without an understanding of what the Bible teaches, you cannot have " the FAITH" the Bible says we are saved through.

Eph 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through (having the Biblical) faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:"

Our FAITH must be the same biblical faith that Jesus had to believe that God's WORD is the absolute truth and the authority for all our understandings that we live by. If we have the same faith He had, first believing and then living by every word of His Father, our faith will produce the same FAITH within us that was within Jesus. This is the kind of faith we are saved through.

All the teachings of man are false teachings unless they agree with the WORDS found in the "faith of Christ". Do you believe the words of Jesus where He said He would be three days and three nights in the grave? If not, you are establishing your own understanding (faith) above the words of Christ that are written in the Covenants Books.

(Mat 12:40 KJV) "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." If you do not believe this statement of Christ to be the absolute truth, you do not have "the FAITH of Jesus Christ". It was He who said it.

Rom 3:4 "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged."

"Faith is". G4102. pistis, pis'-tis; from G3982; persuasion, i.e. credence; mor. conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), espec. reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstr. constancy in such profession; by extens. the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself:--assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.

"The Substance". G5287 hupostasis; hoop-os'-tas-is from a comp. of G5259 and G2476; a setting under (support) i.e. (fig.)

Hupostasis; is the Greek Word from which we get the English Word, UNDERSTANDING from.

These are the only four places in the KJ Bible where the Greek word "Hupostasis" is used. In Heb 11:1 It is Translated substance. In 2 Cor 9:4 it is translated Confident. In 2 Cor 11:17 It is translated Confident. In Heb 3:14 It is translated confidence.

Heb 3:14, 5287. hupostasis, hoop-os'-tas-is; from a comp. of G5259 and G2476; a setting under (support), i.e. (fig.) concr. essence, or abstr. assurance (obj. or subj.):--confidence, confident, person, substance.

We get our (FAITH - confidence - understanding) of what the TRUTHS of the God of Israel are from His every Word. We get our confidence of receiving His Salvation from believing every word He taught about His SALVATION.   His teachings and promises He made to us in the His WORD become our faith. We can only receive His faith by hearing and reading the Whole Word of God.

Rom 10:17 "So then FAITH COMETH BY HEARING, and hearing by the word of God."

We only have the FAITH of Jesus Christ when we HEAR and rightly UNDERSTAND  His Words. The Faith that we are saved through is have the same Confidence that Jesus had in His Father's Plan of Salvation that causes Him to live by His Father's every word tell the end of His life . We are to have the same right understanding of the God of Israel's Word also. If we truly have heard and are doing His Words to understand them, we will also have the understanding Jesus Christ had. If we have the same Understanding from doing the Father's will, we will have the same Confidence that Jesus received from reading and hearing the Father's Word.   If we do not react in the same way that Jesus reacted to His Father's Holy Words, and we do not try to believe as He believed and lived as He lived, we are without any hope of His Salvation through having the "FAITH of CHRIST" in the world.  If you do not have the Faith of Christ, than your salvation must come through the faith of the gods of the religions that you serve.

(Eph 2:12 KJV) Paul said: "That at that time ye (Gentiles) were without Christ, being ALIENS from the commonwealth of Israel, and STRANGERS from the covenants of promise, HAVING NO HOPE, and WITHOUT GOD in the world:"

Do you believe that one must become part of the God of Israel's Commonwealth and take hold of His Holy Covenant to be saved? If not you do not have the same FAITH that Paul had. It was he who said you "HAVING NO HOPE, and are WITHOUT GOD in the world". if you are a "strangers from the COVENANTS of promise."

The God of Israel only made ONE Covenant and it is established in the Old Covenant with His people Israel that He brought out of Egypt. He wrote it on two tables of stone. Gentile Nations have no Covenant from any of the Gods from their Nations. The individual gods of their Nations only have the ways of salvation that has been taught to them by their religious leaders, be it Hindu, Roman Catholic, Islam, etc.  If Gentiles want the God of Israel's Salvation they must join themselves to the God of Israel and become obedient only to Him.

All of His people, Israel did not embrace His Covenant and enter in to it.

(Heb 3:18-19 KJV) "And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? {19} So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief."

(Heb 4:1-3 KJV) "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. {2} For unto us was the gospel preached (The Faith of Jesus Christ) , as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. {3} For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world."

Are you as a Gentile going to join yourself to the God of Israel Covenant, or are you going to be like the unbelieving Israelites who remained in Babylon's Mystery Religion they had learned in Egypt?

The Faith of Jesus Christ was without IDOLS. They and their users were condemmed by the Christ of Israel FAITH.

The person who truly follows the Jewish FAITH of Jesus Christ, has no other written evidence and should needs no other evidence that that presented by the God of Israel in His Holy Hebrew Bible. He is real and His Words are truth. The Hebrew Bible contains both the Old and New Covenant with His People Israel. All other writing that teach another ways of Salvation, than that written in the Jewish Bible, which was and still is "the FAITH of Christ" that He delivered to His People Israel, are Antichrist teaching, teaching opposed to Christ teaching in His WORD.

(Gal 1:9-12 KJV) "As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel (FAITH) unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. {10} For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. {11} But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel (FAITH) which was preached of me is not after man. {12} For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."

"Not Seen". G991. blepo, blep'-o; a prim. verb; to look at (lit. or fig.):--behold, beware, lie, look (on, to), perceive, regard, see, sight, take heed. Comp. G3700.

"Through Faith we Understand". 3539. noieo, noy-eh'-o; from G3563; to exercise the mind (observe), i.e. (fig.) to comprehend, heed:--consider, perceive, think, understand.

Pillar: The understanding of the Truth. The Substance. G5287 hupostasis; hoop-os'-tas-is from a comp. of G5259 and G2476; a setting under (support) i.e. (fig.)

KNOW = G1097. ginosko, ghin-oce'-ko; a prol. form of a prim. verb; to "know" (absol.), in a great variety of applications and with many impl. (as follow, with others not thus clearly expressed):--allow, be aware (of), feel, (have) known (-ledge), perceive, be resolved, can speak, be sure, understand.

(1 Tim 3:15 KJV) "But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar (support) and ground of the truth." (His understanding)

(Rev 3:12 KJV) "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar (support) in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out (depart from the Faith of Jesus Christ): and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name."

TO KNOW IS TO Understand. TO UNDERSTAND AND NOT DO WHAT WE UNDERSTAND WE ARE TO DO, IS TO NOT KNOW Jehovah GOD AT ALL.

Our understanding of the Hebrew's Bible is our Religious Faith. If our understanding of God's Holy Word is different than that taught and understood by Jesus Christ and Paul, we do not have the same FAITH (understanding) that they had. We should contend for that one true faith (understanding) that was delivered to the Saints.

(Jude 1:3-4 KJV) "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. {4} For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ."

Get UNDERSTANDING:

(Psa 119:104 KJV) "Through thy precepts I GET UNDERSTANDING (FAITH) : therefore I hate every false way (FAITH) ."

We only get the right understanding (FAITH) of God's Holy Word from reading all of God's Holy Word. If one does not separate themselves from the Pagan FAITHS taught by the Babylon FAITHS, you will have a mixture of two FAITHS, a mixture of faiths that is unacceptable before God on the Day of JUDGMENT.

(Prov 4:5-8 KJV) "Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. {6} Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. {7} Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. {8} Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her."

(Prov 16:16-17 KJV) "How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! {17} The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul."

FAITH. G4102. pistis, pis'-tis; from G3982; persuasion, i.e. credence; mor. conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), espec. reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstr. constancy in such profession; by extens. the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself:--assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity. This Word, Faith, Appears 245 times in 229 verses in the New Testament.

(Mat 6:30 KJV) "Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little FAITH?" (Without much understanding of the Gospel) The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the Knowledge and Truth about the Kingdom of God and the only Way into it. That TRUTH was established by our Heavenly Father on Earth by the Earthly ministry of Jesus Christ and Paul. If one puts their trust in any other teaching than those of the Holy Bible, they are trusting in a different God than the God of Israel, who is the Lord Jesus Christ.
